blog-the fault in our starsIt seems like all of the good movies come out in the summer. Sometimes a great date night on a hot summer night involves sitting in a nice, dark, cold movie theater, snacking on some warm, buttery  popcorn.

One of the greatest movies out in the theaters right now is “The Fault in Our Stars”. I went and saw this in the theater last week and already want to go back and see it again. This was a heartwarming, awesome love story. This is also a book and I can safely say that I actually enjoyed the movie as much as I enjoyed the book. This rarely happens, as I am almost ALWAYS disappointed in the movie after reading the book (the only other movies that I enjoy JUST as much as the book would have to be Harry Potter).

If you’re looking for something to do on a rainy summer day, or on a day that’s too hot to be outside, I suggest checking this movie out!

blog-the internshipI’m a really big fan of movies, especially comedies. I have quite the collection of DVDs going and love to bring them out when I’m wanting a good laugh.

The Internship is a movie that I went to in theaters a couple of months back. I don’t typically go to movies in the movie theater because it’s expensive and adds up pretty quickly. However, when it looks really good I will spend the money and make a date night out of seeing the movie.

This movie features Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, which are two of my favorite actors. A brief movie synapsis on IMDB says  “two salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital age find their way into a coveted internship at Google, where they must compete with a group of young, tech-savvy geniuses for a shot at employment.”

kk--netflix

Since I am such a junkie for technology, movies, computers and everything else related, it’s kind of a given that I have a Netflix account. I have had this account for a long time and use it almost daily.

Do you know what Netflix is? If not, let me explain. When you sign up for Netflix, you can choose whether you want an account where DVDs get mailed to you of if you want a digital account where you can instantly stream movies and TV shows online.

I have both accounts and love them. With the portion that mails the DVDs, I can get new releases sent right to my mailbox. I can keep them for as long as I want to. When I’m ready for a new movie, I send back my old one.

For the online streaming account, I can type in my username and password into my laptop, iPhone, iPad, or PS3 to watch right on my television. I can save movies and shows on my Instant Queue and watch them anytime! When I pause a show or movie, it allows me to pick up exactly where I left off, even days later.

Bonus: you get an entire month as a free trial in case you don’t like it, you won’t lose any money!

Welcome to my blog! I created this blog a few years ago and still enjoy it just as much now as I did then. Here you will find random chatter of all things related to my life. Have an opinion to share? Let me know if the comments!
