Did you know that you can purchase aircraft part supplies online? I had absolutely no idea until I saw a blogger writing about her husband, an aircraft engineer, being able to buy some parts for his own little bi-plane. Silly me, I was under the assumption that aircraft parts were kind of classified, seeing as how special and safe airplanes need to be!

What all have you discovered through blogs?

Here’s my confession: I blog for both business and pleasure. Sometimes I blog for the hell of it, other times I blog because I want to save up to make an expensive purchase, like one of several bridesmaids dresses. But regardless of why I blog, one thing remains true: I love to blog.

As far as my blogging tool of choice, it’s without a doubt WordPress. ♥

Whether you blog for fun or blog for income, or blog for a little bit of both, it’s essential that you have a room that looks and smells great if you want to get your work done pleasurably and without much interruption. I don’t know about you, but without a clean workspace I struggle with getting down to business and staying focused on tasks.

Tips:

• Take care of housework beforehand, so you’re not tempted to take a cooking/laundry/sweeping/vacuuming break
• Keep interruptions to a minimum by turning off your phone ringer, putting a “Do Not Disturb” sign on your door, etc.
• Minimize distractions by turning off the TV; play music only if you don’t find it to be distracting
• Light a candle or a fragrance lamp in order to create peaceful, attention-focusing ambiance in your room

In order to blog efficiently and productively, you need to be comfortable in the room or area you’re working in! Make sure you have a crisp monitor, a comfortable keyboard and mouse, and a cup of water, juice or tea nearby. Light a candle, or better yet upgrade to a fragrance lamp, in order to have a good-smelling and well-lit area to room in. And don’t forget music, if that’s something that you really enjoy!

If you plan on building up a blog that is worthwhile of being listed on Best Rated Blog or any other blog-ranking/rating site, then you’ll want to make sure you have plenty of incoming and outgoing links. Incoming and outgoing links assure that Google recognizes and acknowledges your presence, and assigns you a Google PageRank accordingly.

• Link to bloggers who comment often
• Link to bloggers who you enjoy reading
• Participate in link exchanges
