I don’t want no scrubs
And by scrubs I don’t mean medical scrubs. I mean the lazy, sloppy, lives-at-home-with-Mommy, wears-a-wife-beater and drives some old clunker type of guy. You know the one. Lazy. Sloppy. No job. All the time in the world to better himself with, but no inclination or get-up-and-go to make with the bettering. I go for the type of guy that knows what he wants in life and is motivated to at least try to attain it all.
How about you?

Happy June!
Can you believe it’s June already? I can’t! I have no idea where May, let alone the rest of spring, got to. But here we are, June 2nd, with plenty of hot temperatures (up until today it had been 90° or higher for a good week or more!) to go with it. My birthday is in eleven days, and my son’s fifth birthday is only 6ish weeks away. Anyway, how is your summer going so far? I hope that you’ll have plenty of great days and nice memories, and no visits to anyone in a doctor’s coat for bad sunburn, allergic reactions to bug bites, or any other kind of summer injury.
Here’s to a good summer for all of us!

Cures for a headache
My favorite headache cure is one Tylenol (), one Aspirin (ibuprofen), an eight ounce glass of cool water, and then a one hour nap, or a 15-20 minute period of resting. My husband’s favorite cure is sex, haha. A hangover headache can be cured by taking two each Tylenol and Aspirin, or better yet prevented by drinking 1-2 six ounce glasses of water in between alcoholic drinks.
What are your favorite headache cures?
I’ve been a part of the blogging/personal webdesign world for over a decade now, and it’s interesting to note the changes that have taken place over the past eleven years. Back in the day Noah Gray‘s CMS, Greymatter, was the must-have blogging software. And we were all apart of link exchanges and button rotations, which are just what they sound like — organized link exchanges, and button rotations that allowed random buttons to be displayed on participating websites. It was a great, hassle-free way to get additional exposure — just set and forget, you know? The nice thing was that all sites were displayed equally, so there wasn’t the issue of a site about lab coats being displayed more frequently than a site about orange county jewelry. All was fair in the link & button exchange world.
I subscribe to several dozen personal blogs, which I catch up on every 1-3 days with Google’s feed reader (sidenote: I love having an Android phone, because it means being able to check up on my Google account — including the feed reader — at any time!). I’ve learned a lot from blogs, including where to find great deals on kids clothes, how to best recycle used household items, how to get red stains out of carpets, and even how to shave a Persian cat! Awesome, huh?
