Browsing all articles in Social Networks

blog-suI recently discovered a website that I love! A friend told me about StumbleUpon, which is a social media site that is endless. When you sign up for this site, you can either use an e-mail address or sign in with your Facebook account. You then fill out your interests and preferences. From here you are able to hit the “stumble” button and be led to a website. All websites should match your preferences and likes, and you will find online shopping, pictures, videos, blogs, and articles that match your personal taste. If you like something and you want to reference it later, hit the “thumbs up” button. If the site isn’t something that you’re into, hit the “thumbs down” button and you won’t have to see it again.

This is a great site that provides hours of entertainment and opens up a whole new way to search your likes and interests! Happy “stumbling” :)

Screen Shot 2013-04-01 at 5.00.16 PMYesterday was the home opener for the Minnesota Twins 2013 baseball season. If you live in the great state of Minnesota even if you didn’t read the papers or stay current with your baseball events, there was no possible way to escape it on your Facebook newsfeed. It seemed like everyone and their brother was updating about the first crack of the bat, commenting on the beautiful green grass outfield {seems like I’m not the only one needy for spring!}, or liking the Twins Facebook page.

In general, I’ve never been a huge baseball fan and I’ve still yet to visit the new outdoor stadium, but not too much compares to a sunny day with a hot dog in one hand, cold brew in the other, surrounded by friends, watching a good game. Actually, we told my parents and family that we were engaged during a tailgate for the St. Paul Saints! First time at a Saints game, first time tailgating {seriously!}, first/only time being engaged {haha!} and I got to celebrate with America’s greatest past time.

Sigh. Is it springtime yet?!

Blog stalker

Surfing blogs for inspiration, entertainment, recipe ideas and more is…well, a time-suck for me. I would much rather bounce from blog to blog than search Pinterest {Which I do enjoy, but seems to be overloaded with dead-end links these days. So annoying.}. For the pure enjoyment, I’m going to list my five favorite blogs to stalk–maybe you’ll love them, too!

Her writing style is witty, she works out like a banshee and her meals are satisfying and beautifully photographed. Ranging from healthy to, ha, not-so healthy, Kirsten is honest, up-front and just plain super-fun to follow!

A dynamite duo of a couple, Amelia and Justin are so laid back and their photography style shows it. They also post about their growing {beautiful} family and all the photographs are, duh, stunning.

What’s your favorite blog{s}?!

My brother is in the Wisconsin Dells for his birthday this weekend. Mom hooked him up with a hotel and some cash so him and his girlfriend can spend a nice weekend a lone together. Needless to say it got me thinking about my own birthday so immediately I started thinking about where I might want to go if Mom is fronting the bill. My brother Jason got a room at the Flamingo hotel on the main strip and going to Noah’s Arch each day, which is awesome for July in the baking sun but my birthday is in October, not the best month for water parks.

I’ve stayed at Wilderness on the Lake many times with my Aunt and her kids over the last couple years and every time has been awesome but I had always wondered what it would be like to stay their with a group of friends. Auntie always gets a two or three bedroom condo when we stay which is always really nice. Each condo comes with a full kitchen and tons of floor spaces, enough beds to sleep 14 and a four person jacuzzi. The room also come with all day passes to the 4 indoor water parks that are part of the Wilderness Resort. So tonight I booked the three bedroom condo with a loft and invited all my closest friends. I think this is going to be one of the best birthdays ever!

I just got my Mystery Grab Bag from Burlesque of North America in the mail yesterday and boy I was in for a surprise. As a sticker junkie I knew I was in for a treat and the genius’ at Burlesque did not let me down.

As you can see I got all kinds of stuff for my ten bucks; definitely the way to go. I got bunches of stickers: mostly Dank Nuggz and Dre Day stickers – I guess that’s what you get when you write “make it dank” in the order comment box. I also got a sweet St. Paul shirt to rep my city, as well as a fine doodle of the weed wizard! Throw in a couple magazines (Life Sucks Die magazine is baller) and you got yourself a grab bag.

All and all very please with the Mystery Grab Bag but once I have money I have to get myself some prints. Once I finally have my own place to call home and i’m not living with the roommates (mom and pop) I want to frame a bunch of Burlesque prints to line the walls.

Welcome to my blog! I created this blog a few years ago and still enjoy it just as much now as I did then. Here you will find random chatter of all things related to my life. Have an opinion to share? Let me know if the comments!
